Who we are

Founded by expert carpenter Declan Belcher in 2023, DB Carpentry & Construction is rooted in integrity, exceptional craftsmanship, and complete transparency. We work closely with you throughout every stage of your renovation, ensuring you're supported and informed every step of the way.

Declan's journey into carpentry began in 2015, after returning to his hometown of Ithaca, NY. Before becoming a carpenter, he spent several years traveling the world, taking on a variety of jobs—apple picking in New Zealand, pouring concrete in Darwin, painting houses in Byron Bay, and more. It was during these experiences that he discovered his passion for hands-on work and craftsmanship.

Back in Ithaca, Declan answered a Craigslist ad and began his apprenticeship under a Master Carpenter. There, he honed his skills restoring 19th-century homes, building treehouses, renovating colonial estates, and maintaining historic properties.

After relocating to Nashville, Declan continued to refine his craft, collaborating with local builders and investors. Since founding DB Carpentry & Construction in 2023, Declan has been dedicated to delivering top-tier services, from bathroom renovations to full home remodels, with a business built entirely on client referrals.
